Red fireball-like
It was near the sea we were going to eat, and a member of my family saw first the object. It was a red fireball floating far away above the sea. When I first noticed it I thought it was a boat maroon, but it traveled to far and to long for a boat maroon. He was just hovering smoothly from left to right of the skyline without any directionnal changes. I was pretty scared. The object stopped for a few seconds and then vanished.
