Seen from window of airplane hovering over wing tip Flying from Maui to San Diego on Alaska airlines on or about 12/5/2015 I looked out the window when we were about 100 miles out from San Diego ( I1m guessing= about 1.5 hrs from landing) so we had to be around 15000 or ft or higher1- and saw a round object over the tip of wing where the tip of wing goes up As I was watching it move back and forth (about 30 seconds) I noticed what I thought were windows but realized it was the reflection of the windows of the plane on the surface of the onbject.soon it moved forward from over the surface of the wing to the front of the wing then down and then under the wing and out of sight1-the whole event lasted about 60 seconds or so 1 long enough for me to look away twice and look back to make sure I was seeing what I was seeing 1- I have been a pilot and logged many hrs of night flying 1- so I know this was no reflection or light on the tip of wing I didn1t tell anyone that Christmas on our visit because I hadn1t quite processed what I saw 1It took me a while to realize the object had to have a reflective ( mirrored) surface for it to show the windows of the plane on its surface1- I knew they weren1t in the object1 I could see it that well1
