Glowing yellow-orange coloured orb of constant luminosity flying similar to an aircraft but on an unusual flight path I've never seen planes on before. 1. I was in my room, working on my computer (during my shift as a remote Customer Support Representative for a webhosting company in the US), when I detected an out of place light out the corner of my right eye, out the window. It was rather bright or close or both or it would not have caught my eye but I did not think to start recording immediately. 2. Out of place noticeable light of a peculiar colour in my peripheral vision, on my right side. 3. A floating paper lantern. 4. It seemed to be simply travelling. Slowly accelerating over a gently curved flight path, at apparent constant altitude. 5. Puzzlement, bewilderment, doubt, excitement. I shared a recording with friends over Whatsapp on my phone and inquired what they think about it. 6. It disappeared behind trees but it was much further away than the occluding objects.
