Large conical uso I worked as a contractor on usns oceanographic research vessels in the pacific and Indian ocean. These vessels were manned by NAVO. Over the coarse of 3years I witnessed many encounters. I believe the entire purpose of our vessel was to locate observe an take samples from areas of heavy uso activity. As boatswain I ran the deck of the vessel rigging and launching all overside operations and supervised all helmsmen. On one operation in particular approximately 300 nautical miles northwest of Guam. I witnessed submerged, ascending, decending, and hoverind USOs. At this location I launched multiple experimental bouys and later witnessed an incoming ICBM (MOAB) drop on the site of our bouys. I then returned to the site and recovered all remaining bouys, unloading them at port in Guam.
