{nd} Went out on my back porch to smoke a cigarette and a flash of light caught my eye I thought it was a meteor at first but it kept flashing in the same spot.
Last night 8-5-14 about 3am I went out on my back porch to smoke and a flash in the sky to the west caught my eye at first I thought it was a meteor but it wasn't. It didn't move at all it flashed or blinked maybe 7 or 8 more times then got very very dim for maybe 30 to 45 seconds then it started flashing again but it wasn't regular it would flash two or three Times fast then maybe flash slowly a few times then speed up then randomly get very dim and a few times it just went out completely where I could not see it at all then it ether flash against or just get brighter slowly where I could see it again when it was dim it looked round but when it flashed it looked more diamond or octagon shaped there was no sound at all that I could. Hear and I really could not tell how far away it was but it was bigger than the stars but not much this went on for about 20 minutes until it went dark and then didn't light back up as I watched it there almost seemed to be a pattern to what it was doing but I could be wrong but it sure seemed like it I have no idea what it was I've never seen anything like it and I'm out there in the same place 3 or 4 times a night and I'm a avid meteor shower watcher and I've never saw anything odd before I would think if it was man made it would have moved just a little bit but it didn't it didn't move a inch the whole time I watched it and now that I think back on it I don't understand why I just sat there and watched it without getting excited or freaking out or anything it kind of makes me feel uncomfortable that I acted that way because it sort of freaks me out now looking back on it all I can say is it's the strangest thing that's ever happened to me
