{nd} Bright star like light, high in the wsw sky, in the middle of a clear sunny day. I was walking our dog, near noon, in our yard. I looked up and around the sky to check for clouds that might indicate incoming weather. The sky was clear to the west and west southwest. I look at the sky day and night. I saw a bright star like, light reflecting, object, high in the west south western sky. I figured it to be a weather balloon. I saw a large jet plane coming towards it. I do not know if it was commercial or military. It was flying very high in the sky, traveling quite fast, from south southwest going north northeast. Not a usual flight path for our area, for commercial planes. The bright object stayed steady in the same spot. It did not move or waver as the plane approached. About 2 to 5 minutes (+-). Not sure. The light remained in the same spot (location) in the sky until the plane looked to be getting very close and just before the plane got to the lights location, the light suddenly vanished. Totally disappeared. No trail, nothing. I kept watching as the plane continued on its flight path. The light never reappeared. It was a puzzling event for me and I have wondered about it every since. I'm interested in a possible explanation. No strong emotions, feelings or reactions.
