Encounter with a Red/Orange light or Orb.
...It was Nov'93,myself and my girlfriend at the time drove to a beach which is about 20min from where I live.I parked at the top of a cliff and we walked down the footpath to the beach.As it was November,it was a dark evening,approx 6pm.We stood on the sand,I was facing out to sea and she was facing me,after a minute or 2 I noticed a red/orange light or object about the size of a basketball from approx 100ft away appear from behind a cliff to my left.It moved horizontally from east to west at walking pace making absolutely no sound and when out in the open it stopped and remained motionless for 3 to 5 minutes above us about 100 to 150 feet away.The light or orb was red/orange and the light emanating from it was very sharp and in focus not blurred in any way,it was close enough to hit with a stone I reckoned,unfortunately mobile phones didn't have camera's back then.At this stage we got concerned an started to leave,as we did it blinked out and reappeared 10sec later in the same place and remained there until we got the hell out of there,i'm not ashamed to say it scared the hell out of us,I remember it like it was yesterday.Its still a mystery,as i said there was no wind that night it was completely calm and no sound from this object either....that's my up close and personal encounter...thanks "D".
