{cak} Red & white pulsating oblong light
My dog woke me up around 2:30 am and wanted to go out. While outside, a very fast moving light caught my eye. At first I thought it was a meteorite or shooting star. It was traveling very fast then slowed down quite a bit at which point I noticed it was pulsating white to a light red color. The rear end of it would glow white then as that faded out the front end would glow a light red color. Then the red would fade out & the white would get brighter. It came to a complete stop and hovered for about 5 seconds while pulsating white to light red, then just completely disappeared while it was hovering.
