Bright orange, possibly white pulsing orb moved across sky
My friends and I were hanging out, when something caught our eyes at almost the same exact time. It was an orange/white pulsing bright orb that was moving about twice, if not three times as fast as an airplane, and it had a straight line direction heading north. It was pretty low to the ground; anywhere from 30 to 70 feet above ground. As soon as the silent object flew north into the thick tree line, a police officer pulled up. We described what we just saw, and the officer has seen the same exact thing before. He said he's seen it twice, once hovering over the high school, then moving off north in a hurry. The other time he claimed to have followed it north through town, and when it reached the tree line and disappeared from sight, a "black helicopter" started hovering around. Then he proceeded to tell us that it could just be ball lightning. It was not ball lightning: nothing around or under it was affected by the light, and there was no sound whatsoever.
