Object in the sky mistaken for Mars until it started to move.
Event occurred while on a hike down to a local beach for an overnight camping trip. There were 5 of us camping but at the time 3-4 of us were lying on our towels in the sand looking at the stars. I pointed out a copper/reddish light in the sky that I was 100% sure was Mars as it was the only object in the sky that is visibly reddish, until it moved. At first we all thought it was strange that we could see a satellite move or that it was bright enough to been seen from earth. I said to my friends “You’re all seeing this right? That thing was not moving when we first saw it.” We all watched as it moved fairly quickly through the sky from NE to SE. it was moving faster than a plane would be, but it was as distant as satellite or we wouldn’t have mistaken it for a planet. At first it moved in what looked like a straight line, for about 30-45 seconds once it reached a certain spot in the sky it made a 90 degree turn and blinked-streaked away. It is difficult to describe but as it took off at ridiculous speed it left a streak of light, if had blinked in the moment you would have missed it. It was similar to the streak of light during a meteor shower but shorter. The object starting point was closer to us and the streak went away from us. I’ve seen all sorts of air craft living on Guam, having a US Air Force base here but that was nothing I had ever seen. The closest example I’ve seen to it’s movement was the Dome of the rock video. If it was a fake video the movement they recreated was almost identical to what I saw that night.
