MUFON 114856

Large Square Orange light observed possibly 20-30 miles away hovering I was taking oiut the trash at 9:19 in the evening, dark sky even with 1/3 moon overhead. I happened to look out over the horizon North-east of my position just over some small hills which are about 2 miles away when I noticed an obvious bright orange light in the far distance estimated at 30 miles give or take. It seemed to be near the area towards of the 29 Palms Army base. I watched this object hover for a few minutes then decied to run in the house to grab my phone for video, and when I came out it appeard to be in the same place still, so I started recording for 2 minutes as it seemed to stay hovering in the same place. I then decided to call my neighbor on my phone to inform them and have more witnesses, and as I was talking to them they looked out their door and also saw the object, but within a few seconds it started to descend down and out of sight behind the hills and did not rise back up again.
