Several what i thought were satellites because of pretty consistent linear non-changing flight paths. As I observed one after another going overhead, some would appear to flash very brightly, so brightly that i would reorient my gaze toward the flash, then the object would decrease its brightness as i watched it fly. I was thinking ok, maybe sunlight reflecting off an unusual number of visible satellites tonight? Then, one flashed very bright orange, and split into two separate objects that went in almost opposite directions as I was about to walk back into my house. So that last sighting makes me feel like all these lights i thought were satellites are not. A (likely) military plane flew over shortly after followed by a low slow earth shatteringly loud jet about two hours later. The follow up by apparent military aircraft is pretty much par for most of the many odd things I have seen in the sky over the years.
