{jpg} Large orange glowing orb.
We were traveling south on US 54 approximately 40 to 45 miles outside Alamogordo, New Mexico. Following behind, approximately 200 to 250 ft a semi truck. Noticed something glowing in the sky to my upper left. Had to lean forward into the windshield to get a better look. At this time the truck in front of us began to slow down, I believe they may have seen what we were seeing and slowed to look. Observed a large orange glowing oval in the sky, no markings could been seen, it was just hovering. After about 15 to 20 seconds a portion of it became flat (for lack of a better description) and the orb seemed to disappear into the flat area, almost as though as it was entering something. I said [profanity removed/CMS/jpg] and my wife said "[profanity removed / CMS / jpg] you seen that too, I wasn't sure if I was seeing things or not". The semi picked up speed in front of us and we finished our trip home. We discussed what we seen all the way home. My wife described two, very close glowing squares that disappeared, I seen an oval, I believe because I have problems with night vision.
